Alternative Names CD235a, GYPA, GPA
Description Glycophorin A (CD235a) is a 36 kDa sialoglycoprotein that is the most predominant sialoglycoprotein of the erythroid lineage. Glycophorin A is the major contributor to the net negative surface charge of the mature red blood cell (RBC) membrane thereby minimizing cell to cell interactions in circulation. The monoclonal antibody CMRF14 binds to glutaraldehyde fixed or neuraminidase treated erythrocytes but not to papain, trypsin, or pronase treated erythrocytes.
Conjugate PE (R-phycoerythrin)
Buffer Formulation Phosphate buffered saline containing < 0.1% sodium azide and a stabilizer
Clonality Monoclonal
Concentration Lot specific
