Rat Anti-Human/Viral IL-10

ANTIGEN DESCRIPTION
The monoclonal antibodies JES3-9D7 and JES3-12G8 are specific for human Interleukin-10 (IL-10), an 18 kDa cytokine that is also known as the cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF) due to its inhibition of cytokine synthesis in Th1 T cells, activated monocytes and NK cells. IL-10 is produced by a variety of cell types including Th0 and Th2 subsets of CD4+ T cells and activated B cells. IL-10 has also been shown to stimulate the proliferation of B cells, thymocytes and mast cells. Viral IL-10 inhibits cytokine production and stimulates B cell growth similar to its human IL-10 counterpart.
